Glass fiber reinforced concrete, better known as GFRC, is a type of exterior material used for versatile cladding applications and architectural elements. GFRC is an advanced masonry solution consisting of glass fiber mixed with cement to create a material that is often better suited than cement or fiberglass alone. The building frame is the primary load-carrying element, while the surrounding matrix allows the material to take form with a wide range of design capability.

GRFC allows for walls that are comparatively thin and a fraction of the weight of walls built with traditional masonry. This combined with the rigid durability of the material allow for tall walls without the deep foundation and structural support needed for traditional masonry and concrete precast. Although durability and reliability are of high importance, one of the primary benefits is simply the design aesthetic that can be achieved with the material. GFRC allows for the look and feel of a diverse range of materials such as natural stone, precast, terra cotta, wood paneling, arbos or virtually any texture.
