Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)

ABC is a resource for over 23,000 merit contractors and other construction industry professionals committed to safety, training, employee benefits, and community involvement. ABC is also a political organization, acting to protect and enhance free enterprise and merit in the construction industry. The Utah Chapter serves over 170 members throughout Utah and parts of Idaho from our central office in Salt Lake City.

The Mission of the Associated Builders and Contractors is to protect and enhance the free enterprise system in the construction industry by promoting and utilizing the merit shop philosophy.

IMS Masonry has been a member of ABC since September 11, 2000. You can find us on their website by clicking here.

IMS also participates each year in the ABC STEP award program. Established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee, the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. This program provides an organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs, a valid, objective method for measuring safety program improvements, and a safety performance recognition for those who meet the stringent criteria. IMS has received the highest honor, the platinum award for six of the last seven years.
